See who’s doing what on Wikipedia

Here's a nice way to waste a little time. It's a map showing the latest edits to Wikipedia, what they were, who made them and where they're located. Thanks to NZBC for the link.

The world according to news editors

OnlineJournalismBlog has generated some data maps showing how much coverage various newspapers' editors give to various countries. The country expands if it gets lots of coverage, shrinks like a deflating balloon if it gets very little. (Thanks to NZBC for the link).

Guardian puts its correspondents on the map

The Guardian has a Google map showing the locations of its staff around the world. To be fair, it's probably one of few papers with enough foreign-based staff to warrant using a world map. But still, it's a nice idea and would work just as well with a national or regional map.
