Reason to love guardian.co.uk #23

The embedded media player that lets you listen to podcasts on the page you’re reading. Much nicer than those swirly patterns normally served up with audio.

That said, if you want to navigate away from the page you’re on you have to launch the player in a pop-up window to keep the podcast running. At least you get the choice.

Hmm. It’s not bad, but rewinding/fast forwarding is impossible. At least I can’t figure out how to do it. With long-form audio like the Guardian turns out, that’s been annoying me.

I did manage to jump forward and back by clicking on any part of the progress bar that was grey, but can’t do a thing until it turns grey (finishes buffering?).

Aaaah, the old ‘wait for the grey’ trick.
