ONLINE EDITOR – VIDEO | MEDIAWORKS

Primarily responsible for the uploading of Video On Demand episodes on a daily basis and managing the day-to-day administration and integration of the On Demand components of the TV3 and FOUR websites.
Some of the things you’ll be responsible for… Ensuring episodes are converted and uploaded in a timely fashion;  Maximising Traffic to individual On Demand episodes; Assisting members of the public who are having issues viewing our video; Posting facebook and twitter updates;  Constantly keeping an eye on local & international VOD trends.

SENIOR AND JUNIOR LAYOUT SUB-EDITORS | PAGEMASTERS

Pagemasters NZ is seeking a senior layout sub-editor to join its busy Auckland newspaper production centre based in Ellerslie.  The ideal applicant will have experience of supervising staff and running a busy desk. A flair for design and newspaper layout is essential. Recent sub-editing experience on a New Zealand newspaper is essential, and experience in Cyber Page editorial systems would be an advantage.  The role would combine sport and general news layout and copy editing. An opportunity has also arisen for a junior or intermediate layout subeditor.

SUB-EDITOR | OUR AUCKLAND

This is a great opportunity for an experienced sub-editor, who has an excellent eye for detail and a passion for accuracy and grammar. Reporting to the OurAuckland Team Leader you will be responsible for providing sub-editing and writing assistance for both the printed publication and online channels. You will also provide communications assistance within the Brand and Channel teams as required. The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification, at least three years experience in a similar role with sub-editing responsibility.

We are looking for strong Avid editing skills (on-lining, effects editing and colour-grading). We’re also seeking a Junior Video Editor with at least two years’ broadcast editing experience. The successful candidate will have an understanding of broadcast standards and the ability to learn quickly. Duties will include cutting items for News and General Programmes.
