This is the blog of Julie Starr. I write about the news business and consult on newsroom integration and change projects.
I am currently working on...
* Newsroom change management and web-and-print development for Fairfax Media NZ.
* Media liaison for Webstock 2012. It's going to be another great conference: here's the speaker list. Email me if you'd like to interview one of these smart people. (We'll do our best depending on everyone's availability.) julie@allaboutthestory.com.

I listen to the BBC on 810AM
My frequent trips to and through Auckland are greatly enhanced by being able to listen to BBC World Service radio on 810am in the car.
It’s live minus an hour (meaning you’re hearing what was first broadcast an hour ago) so it’s current enough for most of us and includes some cracking segments of the considered and unexpected kind from reporters around the world.
Just thought I’d mention it for the benefit of anyone else who spends time in the city of squalls and hasn’t found it yet.
The service is broadcast by a group called the Auckland Radio Trust who operate on a mix of sponsorship and support from friends. If you like what they do, they’d be glad of a donation.
